Renaming sections, blocks, lots & spaces

The level maintenance popup can be found by clicking your cemetery's name in the top navigation bar.

CIMS Professional customers can easily change the names of their sections, blocks, lots and spaces. If you need to add sections/blocks/lots/spaces to your cemetery, please contact our team.

Renaming a section/block/lot/space does not move it in your cemetery. If you need to move parts of your cemetery around, please contact our team.

To rename a section, block, lot or space, click your cemetery's name in the top navigation bar, then "Level maintenance". From the list that appears, find the section/block/lot/space you want to rename. Click the blue pencil-and-paper icon just to the right of its name. An input box will appear; type in the new name, then click "Save".

If you renamed any areas that were hidden in Burial Search, you will need to re-hide them.

Click the blue pencil-and-paper icon next to a section, block, lot or space. Type in the new name into the input box that appears, then click "Save".
