Care funds (Core & Plus)
Add a care fund
Your cemetery may choose to track care funds in CIMS, such as perpetual care or another type of care fund. Care funds are attached to spaces .
- Open the space in the right-hand panel where you want to add the care fund.
- Click the "Care" tab, then click the green "Add care fund" button.
- From the "Care fund" dropdown, choose a care fund option, then click "Add".
- If you don't see the option you'd like to add, click the navy blue plus button to add it.
- A popup will appear asking you to pick one or multiple spaces. If you choose multiple spaces, one care fund per space will be created.
- Now that the care fund is created, you can add a description, quantity, cost, and other details. Click "Update care fund" to save this data. Updating the care fund on one space will not update care funds on other spaces.
Edit a care fund
To edit a care fund, click on the field you want to change then click "Update care fund".
Delete a care fund
Deleting a care fund only deletes this one care fund from this one space. Click the red "Remove care fund" button, then click "Ok" to confirm.
Hiding care funds
Is your cemetery never going to use care funds? You can choose to hide them entirely from your cemetery. Click your cemetery's name in the upper-left corner of CIMS. Choose "Advanced cemetery settings" from the dropdown. In the popup that appears, click on the "Input fields" tab. Scroll down to "Care fund tab". To hide care funds entirely, click the check box at the top so that it is unchecked, then click "Update cemetery settings" in the bottom-right corner of the popup.
No data will be deleted from your cemetery, it will just be hidden.
